Tiny portraits compilation for a group cover image
Our cover image has been set. Thank you for thank you for contributing! Let's celebrate ten years of @OC-Training and also create a cover image for our main group new layout! It is going to be compilation of tiny portraits of all OC-Training characters that are at least 50%-done plus OCs by five Authors who joined in round that is currently in progress. Colours will be altered to be quite violets and purplish to match group layout. Mind that "tiny" feature is really what you may expect, because of the number of entitled OCs, that is I believe five hundreds nineteen by one hundred ninety two Authors. It turned out that there has been so many Authors that DeviantArt won't proceed my attempt to tag in a journal. Reply in private chat (@Akaszik) or under this journal entry with links to images that I might cut out portraits of your trainiees. You might help me providing links to stash with already cut out portraits. If your character participated more than once they still get one
Task 02: Profile [March 16th - 23rd] by MeganMosier, journal
Task 02: Profile [March 16th - 23rd]
Welcome to Round 18 of OC-Training, where you, the artist, have tons of fun drawing and sharing your precious OCs. And your character... well... that's debatable. We'll check in with them after the last few tasks. This time around, we have 29 eager enrollees! Enrollments are officially closed, but if you missed out, feel free to watch this round and enroll in the next! Now, on to the second task! Task 2: Profile Draw a reference of your OC in minimal clothing, showing their body type. Focus on their body features to practice anatomy and prepare a handy reference sheet for future. Draw your OC's facial features, showing at least 4 basic expressions (i.e. happiness, sadness, anger, surprise). What expressions are most typical of your OC? Include their height in the image itself or in the artist’s description, and any other pertinent information (i.e.: gender identity, pronouns, nicknames). Write a sum-up of your OC in as few words as possible (i.e.: Sally, “sad servant” ; Larry “lousy
Task 1: Guess Who [March 1st-16th] by MeganMosier, journal
Task 1: Guess Who [March 1st-16th]
Hmm... February seemed a lot longer this year than usual. It's like we had an extra day or something. But at long last, March is upon us and Round 18 of OC-Training begins! * Enrollments are still open and will be until the end of this task. You do not have to submit an enrollment picture - but you MUST submit a Guess Who picture in order to participate in the round! * Task 1: Guess Who My OC Is Create an image depicting who your OC is and what they generally do in life. Include visual hints about their personality, their daily life, their occupation, their setting, their role in the story, et cetera. Anything that will help the audience guess about the kind of person your OC is, or what their story is about. ***Please keep the artist's description vague and do not reveal anything about your OC yet! Comment on other participants' OCs and make guesses about who they are. Purpose of this task: - Give first impression of OC & show the basics of who they are. - Analyze other
Popping back in to wish everyone Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Behold, a little Booker to tide you over till 2024, which will hopefully be a little less stingy with free time and will let me get back to the comic.
Five slots for Watchers! Dear Watchers, Have you known that Moll, the sculery maid, was an adaptable? Since she was not my idea, she's unique to the setting and brings more life to it. This season I pay it forward, offering for free: an initial design for a character. Tell me his/her role or/and gender or/and age, so I'll make up an adoptable for you in December. This is a gift for any my gallery Watcher: no matter if a person who follows me for 17 years or a new one.
I am writing up a storm with Strike!’s script and pumping out comic pages like nobody’s business and I am genuinely both surprised and so pleased with myself, especially considering that I was going through a really bad slump that affected both my art and writing skills for YEARS and I truly was starting to believe that I was never going to recover from it. I can’t wait to share all these pages with everyone and I also can’t wait to actually get to the good part of the story in Azalea town (the story is currently at a slow part where there’s a lot of talking right now, but I swear it picks up once the conversation is over!). I’m not sure where all this energy to work on Strike! again actually came from, but I hope it stays and that I continue to improve my skills while working on it. :)
